Balkiens are small, pom pom like creatures which resemble a colourful ball of wool. They have the ability to fly through the air with a kind of vibration in their fur. Balkiens are more intelligent than humans, and learn new languages by listening to them. They do not appear to have eyes but somehow see through their coat of fur.
